When an MVE is started, the rotation of the masses generates a sinusoidal centrifugal force. With a single MVE installed on a vibrating machine, a rotating force is produced, resulting in circular motion of the machine. Two counter-rotating MVEs mounted in parallel on the same machine generate a linear force, resulting in linear motion. MVE application types define either circular or linear movements.
